MarketAI is a comprehensive stock market analysis platform that provides investors with tools to screen stocks, track portfolios, analyze market data, and get AI-powered insights. We aggregate data from multiple sources and apply proprietary scoring algorithms to help you make more informed investment decisions.
MarketAI offers a free tier that includes access to the stock screener, basic charts, and limited AI assistant queries.
Basic and Pro add CSV import and portfolio sharing, with larger portfolio and monthly AI allowances. See the Plans page for current prices and limits. Customer API access is not included.
Stock prices and metrics are updated approximately every 15 minutes during market hours (9:30 AM - 4:00 PM ET). Fundamental data such as earnings, revenue, and balance sheet information is updated quarterly following company earnings reports.
Stock Scores
Our scoring system includes four main metrics:
- Analyst Consensus: Based on recommendation mean or the reported buy/sell mix; unavailable evidence remains blank.
- Value / Quality: Operating quality (margins, ROE, FCF, Debt/FCF) plus cheapness (forward P/E and FCF yield). P/B and dividends do not vote.
- Growth: Reported revenue and earnings growth. Price trend is not mixed in.
- Composite: Quality 40% + Value 35% + Growth 25%. Analyst is shown separately and does not vote.
Composite Scores range from 0 to 100. Generally:
- 70-100: Excellent - Strong fundamentals across multiple criteria
- 50-69: Good - Above average metrics with some weaknesses
- 30-49: Fair - Mixed signals, requires deeper analysis
- 0-29: Poor - Significant concerns in multiple areas
Note: Scores are relative metrics and should not be the sole basis for investment decisions.
Fair Market Value is our estimate of a stock's intrinsic worth based on a combination of discounted cash flow analysis, comparable P/E multiples, and analyst price targets. The "→FMV%" shows the potential upside or downside from the current price to our calculated FMV. This is an algorithmic estimate and not a guarantee of future price movement.
Portfolio Tracking
MarketAI supports importing portfolios from CSV files exported from major brokerages:
- Schwab - Export positions from your account
- Chase/JPMorgan - Export from your investment account
- Fidelity - Export your BrokerageLink positions. Unsettled cash and money-market funds are imported as FDRXX.
- Extras - CSV with columns value, type, cost_basis_usd for cash-usd, cash-eur, oz-physical-silver, oz-physical-gold, and nvda-stock (ESPP).
To import: Go to Portfolio → Click "Import CSV" → Select your exported file → Enter a portfolio name → Click Create & Import.
Yes! You can create and track as many portfolios as you need. This is useful for separating different accounts (e.g., taxable vs retirement), different strategies (e.g., growth vs dividend), or tracking paper trading experiments separately from real investments. Uncheck "In totals" on a portfolio to keep a legacy snapshot listed without counting it in the overall value.
No, MarketAI does not connect directly to brokerage accounts. All portfolio data is self-reported by users through manual entry or CSV import. This keeps your brokerage credentials secure and gives you full control over what information you share. You'll need to manually update your portfolios to reflect any trades.
AI Assistant

- Get detailed information about specific stocks
- Compare multiple stocks side-by-side
- Find top stocks by various metrics (dividend yield, growth, value)
- Analyze your portfolio holdings
- Search for stocks by sector or characteristics
- Explain financial metrics and terminology
No. The AI assistant is designed to provide information and analysis, not financial advice. AI responses may contain inaccuracies and should be verified with other sources. Always do your own research and consult with a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions.
Data & Metrics
MarketAI aggregates data from multiple sources to provide comprehensive market analysis. All data is subject to potential delays and standard market data limitations.
D/E (Debt-to-Equity) ratio measures a company's financial leverage by comparing its total debt to shareholder equity. A ratio of 1.0x means the company has equal debt and equity. Lower ratios generally indicate less financial risk, while higher ratios may indicate more aggressive financing. What's considered "good" varies by industry.
P/E (Price-to-Earnings): Calculated using the company's trailing twelve months (TTM) of actual earnings. This shows what you're paying for past earnings.
Forward P/E: Calculated using analyst estimates of next year's earnings. This shows what you're paying for expected future earnings.
Forward P/E is typically lower for growing companies since earnings are expected to increase.
